Kausani Jungle Camp

Experience Authentic Camping with 300km Views of the Majestic Himalayas.

About the Resort & Its History

The Resort Experience: Perched at an altitude of 1,890 meters, Kausani Jungle Camp is an eco-conscious escape designed to bridge the gap between rugged adventure and modern comfort. Unlike conventional hotels, our camp places you directly in the heart of dense pine and oak forests. The resort is world-renowned for providing a front-row seat to a staggering 300km panoramic view of the Great Himalayan Range, including the peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Panchachuli. Guests here wake up to the famous "Golden Sunrise," a spectacle that turns the snow-capped summits into shimmering gold.

The Historical Legacy: Kausani holds a profound place in Indian history and was famously dubbed the "Switzerland of India" by Mahatma Gandhi during his 14-day stay at the Anasakti Ashram in 1929. The region’s deep silence and inspiring vistas also served as the cradle for legendary Hindi poet Sumitranandan Pant, whose nature-inspired poetry was born amidst these very forests. At Kausani Jungle Camp, we preserve this legacy of inspiration, offering a "Home Away from Home" feel managed meticulously by the TGH Group Team.
